Accent Boxes

These are two of the accent boxes along the driveway side of the garden. There are bush beans, pole beans, tomato, peppers and
squash in them. The garden net on PVC pipe works better than anything we've tried before.
This box (to the left) is the herb garden with a square of annual flowers to attract pollinators. The stevia plant we bought...after trying to start 3 packages of stevia seed...is doing great. Jeff learned this weekend that the stevia stem and be cut and rooted easily...much more so than trying to start from seed!! Our plant has 2 high stems so we'll try to root them. It's nice to be able to pick fresh parsley and basil! There are carrots and onions in the small sections, too.

You can see how well plants grow in this system as opposed to 'farm rows' It may just be how much the soil's been enriched that makes the difference.

My royal and white bb sweater is growing nicely. I think I may have solved the pin-stripe problem. I still want to take it to the shop tomorrow so I have to knit knit knit this afternoon. Right now it's time to go mow some lawn!
