The Garage

There were...reportedly...over 5200 people in Cooperstown over the Memorial Day Weekend.  The Hall of Fame Classic was a big hit and the shop didn't do so bad either.  I sold a couple of baseball hats and v-neck baseball sweaters and a girl's hat and sweater set.  Main Street and Doubleday Field parking lot were full of fans trying to catch a glimpse of some of the over of  2 dozen (only name (I recognized was Rollie Fingers) retired professionals  in town...not like today when I worked in the shop and the parking lot was just about empty.  I had a slow stream of people in but only a few actually bought anything.  By 4:30pm the total sales were around $50, and then, in the last few minutes,  a young couple came in and she spent $50 on hand-made soap!   The colors and aromas are really great and the soap doesn't get soft sitting in a soap dish.  Unfortunately,  nothing of mine sold today.  Hope this weekend is better!
Meanwhile, Jeff and Fanny stayed home today while Jeff cleaned the garage.  This week the Town of Herkimer has free Trash Days and Jeff wants to take advantage of them.  (Beats a trip to the dump in Utica!)  We still have to clean off the porch so I don't know if we'll make it to the town barn with everything before closing time tomorrow at 3pm but we'll try. The garage really looks good.  Jeff should be able to put a lot of his tools in it...hey, maybe even a car!

note:  Jeff can't believe that the PC is still running normally...how many days in a row does that make it now 6 or 7?  Who cares as long as it goes on! Would it be too much to hope the printer would suddenly come back to life?
