How Jeff Spent a Beautiful Saturday

Yesterday when Jeff came back from his trip to the town barn with a trailer load of junk to be thrown away, he had stopped at Smith's on Rte 28 just north of Herkimer and had gotten some wood chips.  That just left
clearing and leveling
rest of the greenhouse so he could spread them and that's was today's job.  Actually, he just had to hoe out the large clumps of grass and rake the ground level before putting down the
landscape fabric and then spreading the wood chips.
Jeff found out that our new wheelbarrow holds about 3x as much as a regular wheelbarrow and he has about half a wheelbarrow (ours) of chips left over.  After

he gets the 2nd set of pipes installed he's going to move the plants over to them and finish putting in the wood chips.  There's a leak at one end of a pipe that he wants to seal before he does that.  Fanny kept inspecting the
work but her opinion didn't change...it wasn't someplace she enjoyed walking!  Hope other padded critters have the same opinion.
The peppers and potatoes seem to like being on the self-watering system and are doing well.  No flowers or  buds yet but it's still early.
